A Homesteading/Survival Misadventure

  Updated Sept 2007

After a two-year hiatus, this site is now being maintained from a  large rock in the Atlantic Ocean. In keeping with our new circumstances, Lot 13 has been reborn as Freedom Hill and is currently undergoing renovation...

Welcome

My partner and I are adventurers at heart. In the years since we began trekking along together, we've taken the scenic route, moving hither and yon to accomodate a host of varied and often unusual jobs and interests.

From advertising specialists to merchandisers, horse handlers to mail carriers, our multifarious lyfestyle has given us some amazing, hilarious, and downright unbelieveable experiences.

We're still trekkin' along, and our adventures have continued to be nothing short of 'wow'.

2005 saw us getting into gear for the adventure of a lifetime, as we headed east to homestead on 25 acres of woodland in the heart of the isolated (and very Scottish) Cape Breton Highlands.

But fate has a way of doing end-runs around the most well laid plans. From our arrival in Cape Breton, an incredible adventure unfolded that would change our direction in more ways than we thought possible.

The curious and interested can read about it here.
